Supply Planner

SUMMARY
To plan and execute the replenishment of product into Armada managed facilities by managing the supply planning process and inventory levels while insuring high fill rates to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assist Demand Planning in the development of item specific targets.
•Ability to develop detailed item location inventory plans.
•Maintain 99.5% item Fill-Rate while operating inside of budget requirements.
•Identify and communicate changes in demand due to promotions, seasonality and phasing items to Demand Planning.
•Direct management of all item phases.
•Maintain item master data for all managed items.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients.
•Become “super user” of RockySoft tool and provide corresponding support to the team.
•Actively participate in design, testing, and implementation of new BI tools.
•Interact as appropriate with Account Management and customers to attain business intelligence vital to developing the most accurate supply plan.
•Interact as necessary with other departments (Transportation, Warehouse Ops, Finance, Engineering) to provide supply information relevant to their respective areas
•Participate in and support new customer integration activities
•Initiate process improvements surrounding aging, slow moving, and short shelf life inventory in an effort to reduce overall waste
•Develop, update, and maintain Supply Planning related SOPs
•Lead or participate on project teams as required
•Perform root cause analysis in developing corrective action plans
•Develop and manage to relevant KPI’s to support and measure the business
•Assess technology requirements needed to support current or proposed business
•Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications (include education, certifications/licenses, experience, language, mathematical, computer, level of reasoning, physical demands and preferences (a plus)):

Education and experience requirement
Minimum:
• 1-5 years of supply chain industry experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or related field.

Preferred:
•Experience with sales forecasts/demand planning
•Experience with an advanced planning system i.e. Manugistics, i2, RockySoft
•JDA experience
•Excel, Access, Cognos, miscellaneous systems experience to assist in highly analytic activity
•APICS certification

Language and technical skills requirement
•Understanding of demand planning terms and concepts
•Understanding of general logistics terms and concepts
•Experience and understanding of ERP systems
•Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
•Excellent problem solving ability with demonstrated experiences of managing with facts not emotion
•Excellent communication skills including listening, written, oral and group presentation
•Ability to communicate with different levels of the organization

•Work is usually performed in an office environment with normal noise levels. Involves prolonged sitting and computer usage.
•Business travel will be on an as needed basis; expectation is less than 10%.
